3 & 4 Months! Ya'll Having a Good Time?

Afton's 3 and 4 month celebrations have come and gone! Better late than never, as they say. Here is a little update on our little lady's life over the past few months. She has had all sorts of adventures and we are loving every minute.

3 Month Stats:
(We didn't have a doctor's visit this month, so we did our best to get some at-home measurements.)
Weight: ~ 11 lbs.
Length: ~ 23 inches
Greatest achievement: A second leg roll - basically the cutest thing you ever did see!

For some reason we didn't get the greatest picture of Afton for month 3, but her smirk in this one is pretty adorable!

The typical photobomb by Bear! This picture makes her look so tiny!

4 Month Stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 1 oz! - 46th percentile
Length: 25 inches - 71st percentile!
Head Circumference: 42 - 85th percentile - our child must be a genius with such a big head!
Greatest achievement: She is strong! She can do all sorts of tricks with dad now! Her favourite is sitting in his hand and balancing then rolling her head back to have him catch her - she thinks it is pretty funny.

Eek! Month 4 is December -That means Christmas is coming! Here is a picture of our four-month old little reindeer!

Since I am combining two posts - and pretending it was on purpose and not because I am typically terrible at this sort of thing - there is so much to share! I thought it would be more fun to share it with pictures!
Adventure: Dad's tricks!
Just chatting it up on her cell phone!

Tough girl!

No coat? No problem!

Dad trying to steal her to go to work with him.

Uh... Bathtime?

Look Ma! No hands!

Adventure: Halloween!

Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, and Grandma

Adventure: Las Vegas/ Los Angeles!
The first weekend in November we went on Afton's biggest adventure yet: a ROADTRIP! Our travels took us to Vegas where we got to meet Violet her new cousin and bestie (Devin and Brit Burnett's baby). She also played with Noelle, her other bestie.

After our (very) short stop in Las Vegas, we headed down to Primm, Nevada to stay at the Whiskey Pete hotel and casino. It was this little stop in the middle of nowhere, but it ended up being a fun little stop. We had IHOP in the morning and Afton was a big fan of the maple syrup and flap jacks.

On our way we found an Afton Road in Nevada

On Afton Road there is a path to Afton canyon. Basically our child is famous. Here she is "posing" next to her sign.

From Primm we headed down to Azusa, California where John ran his BOSTON QUALIFYING marathon! Afton was his best cheerleader!

Blowing bubbles while we wait for Daddy to cross the finish line.

2:59:34!

Finally!

26.2 strong!

The victory medal bite!

Afton with her first bling - a.k.a. John's medal for second place in his age division. If you didn't notice, we think he is pretty awesome! Boston 2017 will be a whole new adventure for baby girl too!

After John's race, we had one more adventure to the ocean! It was baby girl's first time touching the ocean. It was a bit chilly (which is expected for November), so only mom and dad actually took a dip. Afton was very happy to get her toes wet and play in the sand. The weather was about 80-85 degrees. It was wonderful

Adventure: Hillyer family visits!
Our favourite Hillyer family came to visit! The girls were so cute with her. They even made up a song: "Afton you are cute, you are adoooorable." They would repeat it to her (harmonized, of course) and Afton would just giggle. We went to the Tracy Aviary and saw the condor go on a walk - it was huge - and all sorts of other amazing birds. It was a blast.

Adventure: Baby Blessing!

One of the best things to happen in the last couple of months was Afton's baby blessing on 29 November 2015. It was such a special day! We had a ton of family there to support our new little family and we definitely felt loved. John gave her a beautiful blessing and didn't even change her name last minute or anything! She is still our little Afton Phoebe.

Such a special day for baby girl and her daddy!

She was a little sleepy by the end of all of it - can you tell?

A huge thanks to Grandma O for making her beautiful dress.

The parents!

Big uncle Mike!

The Kunzler's

Such a beautiful little lady!

Our little family!

Papa George brought her a blanket all the way from Bethlehem! It was so special to have her wrapped in a blanket from such a special place.

Afton is such a great little kiddo and we sure do love her! We have so many more adventures to come! As a sneak peak, here is what Afton girl is most excited for:

It's almost Christmas!! More details to come on her 5-month post. Love ya baby girl!
